5(6)-carboxyfluorescein (Fluorescein-COOH) is one of SLT's reactive green fluorescent dyes that can react with primary amine groups. Carboxylic acid can be easily activated by crosslinking reagents such as EDC or DCC. Activated carboxylic group reacts with primary amine group to form a stable amide bond.
